Café 2000 @ M Hotel Singapore - Launches Enchanting Festive Buffet at Cafe 2000
M Hotel Singapore, situated on Anson Road in Singapore, presents an enchanting Festive Buffet at Cafe 2000 this Christmas. The buffet offers a delightful array of culinary delights, ranging from the freshest seafood-on-ice to exceptional carvings like Chargrilled Australian Tomahawk with Kampot Pepper, Roast Turkey, Bone-in Gammon Ham, Foie Gras with Berries Coulis, including ‘live’ Crowaffle and Flambe Crepes station and unforgettable spread of yuletide desserts.
The Festive Dinner is available from November 16 to December 21, followed by the Christmas buffet starting from December 22. It's a perfect opportunity to celebrate the Yuletide season with a blend of festive flavours and a joyful ambience at M Hotel Singapore.
The Seafood On Ice display is a captivating showcase of oceanic delights, offering a feast for seafood enthusiasts. The display features an assortment of premium seafood, including succulent crab legs, plump prawns, and a variety of mussels and clams.
The Christmas specials include Roast Lamb Rib, Roast Beef, Roasted Turkey, and Honey Baked Ham. The standout is the freshly grilled Roast Beef, sliced and cooked on the spot, imparting a smoky taste. It is also superbly tender and juicy, with the fatty parts, in particular, showcasing a melt-in-the-mouth sensation, adding a luxurious and indulgent touch to every bite.
The Roast Lamb Rib promises succulence, Roasted Turkey delivers a classic holiday experience, and the Honey-baked Ham combines sweetness with savoury notes.
The local delight of Chilli Crab captures the essence of Singapore's rich food culture perfectly. The Chilli Crab features a luscious and flavourful sauce, showcasing the perfect blend of sweet, savoury, and spicy notes that define this iconic dish. The combination is a harmonious marriage of textures and flavours, paired with crispy mantou.
For an alternative crab option, the Tanghoon Crab features crab paired with tanghoon, also known as glass noodles. The crab was prepared with a flavourful sauce that coats the tanghoon, creating a delightful combination of textures and tastes. At the same time, the noodles absorbed the savoury essence of the crab and sauce, providing a unique and enjoyable mouthfeel.
Don't miss out on the Baked Lobsters adorned with a rich and flamed cheesy sauce that adds a layer of decadence to the dish. The sauce features a creamy and flavourful blend, complementing the succulent lobster meat harmoniously.
Other delectable options in the buffet include Steamed Fish and Nonya Curry, Fried Seafood Beehoon, Lamb Stew, Chicken Satay, Hawaiian Pizza and many more.
The dessert section is a haven for sweet lovers, featuring a diverse selection of indulgent treats. Highlights include the classic Apple Crumble, decadent Chocolate Fudge Cake, velvety Cream Caramel, refreshing Yuzu Cake, and delightful Assorted Cupcakes.
For a local twist, don't miss the mini glasses of Durian Pengat, showcasing the unique durian flavour. A standout is the Croffle, a hybrid treat combining a croissant's crispiness with a waffle's fluffy texture. This dessert spread caters to a spectrum of preferences, ensuring a satisfying and sweet conclusion to the dining experience.

Original Pricing

Dinner - $84/pax on weekdays, $98/pax on weekends
Do note that the menu differs for lunch and dinner.
The buffet offers an array of dishes, ranging from the popular Assorted Seafood on Ice and live stations to a selection of grills, hot and cold desserts, and more.
Seafood on Ice
I always start off buffets at the fresh seafood and sashimi corner. The fresh Seafood on Ice assortment includes red prawns, cherry clams, gong-gong, half-shell scallops, mussels and crabs. They were decently fresh, and our favourite was the prawns.
Cold Cuts & Artisan Cheese
At the Cold Cuts & Artisan Cheese stations, there were mortadella, beef bresaola, coppa ham and a seasonal cheese selection.
Marinated Appetisers
We liked how the different Marinated Appetisers were served in small portions for convenience. It also ensures you get a good mix of all the ingredients. The appetisers include Apple Wood Smoked Duck with Mango, Crab Salad and Spanish Potato Salad.
Chinese Roasts
For Chinese Roasts, there was Roast Duck, Hainanese Chicken, Roast Pork and Char Siu Pork.
Noodles
I enjoyed the Signature Laksa quite a lot. The base was rich with a good kick of spice.
Charcoal Grill
The Charcoal Grill station was the most popular station of the night. The eye-catching selection includes Baked Oysters, Australian Beef Steak, Spanish Grilled Pork Belly, Otak-Otak Sausage of the Day and more.
Each diner is also entitled to half a grilled lobster, limited to dinner only.
Local, Chinese, Indian & Malay Cuisine
In other cooked selections, you will find dishes such as Carrot Cake, Indian Spiced Chicken, Roasted Vegetables, Naan Bread, Mutton Curry, etc.
Hot Dessert
If you have a sweet tooth, the huge dessert selection will be very exciting! We started with the rich Praline Chocolate Pudding, which was my dining companion's favourite dessert of the night. Other Hot Desserts include Apple and Raisin Crumble, Bread and Butter Pudding and Nutella Cannoli.
Assorted Nonya Kueh
The Assorted Nonya Kueh towers had Angku Kueh, Kueh Salat, Kueh Talam and Kueh Lapis.
Cold Dessert
There were shooter glasses, eclairs, various tarts and cakes for Cold Desserts. We enjoyed the Signature Mango Cake the most.

The Line @ Shangri-La Singapore - The Line's Multi-Sensorial Buffet Experience Returns
The Line, Shangri-La Singapore’s buffet restaurant, has reopened its live theatre kitchens and culinary stations, where guests can now come up close and personal to catch the chefs in action preparing their favourite food and serving them. Accompanying this latest move is an update of its menu, including six signature dishes across Western, Middle Eastern, Indian and Southeast Asian cuisines.
Start the feast with a variety of cheeses from the cheese deck or salad corner, where you can customise your own from a selection of salad choices.
Dive right into the Japanese section. Apart from the fresh seafood and sashimi, it now has a Tuna Poke Bowl, Salmon Aburi Maki and Salmon Sushi Aburi.
We had the Double Boiled Duck Soup, which was a comforting bowl of goodness prior to a night of indulgent feasting. The rich, flavourful broth was worth going for a second round.
Beef lovers will enjoy the two variations available. The first is with Hainanese-style noodles in collaboration with Wah Eng Beef Noodles, which popularised the dish, featuring a thick gravy and slices of tendon, pickled vegetables and grated peanuts. The second is the Roasted Australian Angus Prime Rib, marinated overnight with French mustard, extra virgin olive oil, sea salt and fresh herbs like thyme, sage and oregano.
Don't miss out on the laksa, a familiar favourite. The broth offers the right balance of spice and coconut milk. The piping hot bowl is topped with ingredients like prawns and fishcake.
From South Asia and the Middle East comes Matki Mutton and Lamb Ouzi, respectively. The former is slow-cooked in a traditional clay pot after the meat is marinated with yoghurt, ginger, garlic, red chilli powder and fibres of saffron. Expect a melange of aromas from the lamb ouzi explicitly hailed from Lebanon that has been stewed for 12 hours atop Arabic rice flavoured with an array of spices, nuts and raisins.
Take your pick from the scrumptious range of familiar Asian delights such as the crispy, tender Pork Belly or char siew, as well as the Chicken and Beef Satay.
Relish the Peranakan classic Babi Pongteh, where pork is braised in fermented soy bean sauce with garlic, coriander powder, brown sugar and dark soy sauce for more than an hour to yield bold, complex flavours. One of my Peranakan favourite is the Ayam Panggang. Likewise, the tender char-grilled chicken is aromatic and well-seasoned.
For something more substantial, go for the Seafood Ee Fu Noodles or Pork Fried Rice.
End the buffet on a sweet note with their extensive dessert options, such as the American Cheesecake, Cherry Blossom Cake, Coffee Roll, Rainbow Roll, Mango Mousse and Vanilla Roulade, as well as assorted Nonya Kueh. There are fluffy Waffles and different Ice Cream flavours available as well.
The Line’s signature Durian Cake, with fluffy layers of vanilla sponge and luscious filling of durian mousse, is a highlight in the dessert selections.
