Burrata 4/5

For starters, the OFC Farm Bread ($12) features the restaurant’s beloved sourdough and focaccia, served with a subtly flavoured salted butter. We paired it with the Burrata ($28), which whetted my appetite with savoury and meaty San Daniele ham, complemented by the acidity and sweetness of charred grapes and tomato jam, and a satisfying crunch from toasted pine nuts.

Beef Tongue Yakitori 5/5

For something bolder, the Beef Tongue Yakitori was a standout. The Bak Kut Teh marinated beef tongue was expertly prepared, with a slightly charred exterior that complemented its rich flavour. Shredded ginger flowers added freshness and helped balance the gaminess, resulting in a well-rounded dish.

Pulled Pork Benedict 4.5/5

The Brunch and Lunch menu features a lineup of well-loved classics. My favourite brunch item was the Pulled Pork Benedict ($29), a satisfying plate with tender and flavourful pork ragout accompanied by creamy sous vide eggs that enriched every bite with a luxurious mouthfeel. The hollandaise, done espuma style, delivered the same tangy richness in a lighter and airier form, enhancing the dish without the usual heaviness.

Avocado Toast 3/5

Shakshuka and Avocado Toast are both presented in bowl form, similar to one another. The former features spiced tomato sauce and feta, while the latter is topped with mashed avocado and tomato salsa. While this format makes for easier eating, it slightly diminishes the essence of the dishes, especially the shakshuka. It would have been much more exciting to have it served hot in a pan with eggs poached directly in the sauce. The flavours leaned mild, with just a faint hint of fennel rather than the expected spice-forward kick. Still, both dishes remained wholesome, anchored by perfectly creamy yolks.

Spanish Omelette 3/5

The Spanish Omelette was given a local twist, topped with a heap of minced meat and mushrooms seasoned like bak chor mee. Though it had a beautifully golden exterior, it resembled more of a potato frittata, with more egg than potato, lacking the creamy and slightly starchy consistency that defines a traditional Spanish omelette made with slow-cooked potatoes.

Buttermilk Pancakes 3.5/5

For something sweet, the Buttermilk Pancakes ($22), served with banana brûlée and ice cream, were delightful, featuring a subtle bounce in texture.

Granola Yoghurt Bowl 2/5

The Granola Yoghurt Bowl ($18), however, was slightly too sweet, with yoghurt that was both thinner and sweeter than ideal. A version with tangier yoghurt and crunchy granola would have provided better contrast and balance.

Beer-Battered Fish & Chips 4/5

From the lunch selections, the Beer-Battered Fish & Chips ($34) impressed with its light, crisp batter encasing flavourful fish, complemented by equally well-executed chips.

Creamy Mushroom Mafaldine Pasta 4/5

The Creamy Mushroom Mafaldine Pasta, made with local mixed mushrooms, stood out for its firm and chewy texture. Meanwhile, the sauce, cheesy and accented with sharp Pecorino Romano, had just the right consistency to coat each ribbon beautifully. 15% off their bill.

Deconstructed Tiramisu 4.5/5

For desserts, the Deconstructed Tiramisu ($19) and Lemon Meringue Pavlova ($19) offer two very different experiences. I found the former more memorable, featuring an intense layer of Kahlua-soaked sponge complemented by light, aerated chocolate bites.

What truly stood out for me was the atmosphere at Open Farm Community. The space exudes a relaxed, nature-filled charm that invites one to linger. Offering a 15% discount to those who dine at the spacious alfresco area with their pets is also a thoughtful touch, reflecting the restaurant’s commitment to food, nature, community, and sustainability.

Fortuna Terrazza @ Craig Road - New Amalfi-inspired Cafe and Burnch Terrace by The Team Behind Fortuna Italian Trattoria

Fortuna Terrazza, situated along Craig Road, is an Amalfi-inspired café and brunch terrace newly opened by the team behind Fortuna Italian Trattoria, located just a stone's throw away. Taking on a distinctly different vibe from its sister concept, Fortuna Terrazza is bright and sunny, dressed in lemony-yellow hues and breezy shades. The menu leans brunch-centric, rounded out with a selection of mains, pastas, and panuozzi crafted with their signature pizza dough.

Folded Eggs alla Diavola 4/5

From the brunch selections, I had the Folded Eggs alla Diavola ($26), which resembled a breakfast-worthy fried pizza. A layer of ricotta spread over Fortuna's fried pizzetta formed the base, topped with wilted spinach, tender folded eggs, and savoury strips of salamino Napoletano, finished with crispy shallots and threads of chilli. It was hearty and wholesome.

Caprese Panuozzi 2/5

From the panuozzi section, I opted for the Caprese Panuozzi, essentially a Caprese salad encased in a folded pizza. While the marinated ox heart tomatoes were sweet and juicy, the overall combination didn't quite come together. The tomato's marinade leaned overly acidic, and the cheese, which was meant to be mozzarella, was runny to the point that I initially mistook it for stracciatella. With nothing substantial to bind the filling to the pizza base beyond the tomato's juices, which unfortunately caused the inside of the pizza to be soggy, the result felt loose and unbalanced.

Amalfi Ravioli 2/5

There are 2 pasta dishes, in which I had the Amalfi Ravioli ($29), featuring crab and ricotta-filled ravioli in a vibrant limoncello sauce accented with basil and chilli oil. The sauce was divine, but the ravioli itself fell short of expectations. The dough was tough and a little dry, with one even arriving cracked, and the thick rims gave a heavy, doughy bite that took away from the delicacy of the filling.

To round off the experience, Fortuna Terrazza also offers a range of Bellinis, wines, and signature drinks, which include the Pistachio 2.0, an indulgent iced coffee topped with pistachio cream.

Overall, while Fortuna Terrazza is charming and enjoyable, with its energetic vibes and wholesome, joyful offerings, the dishes could be more polished to live up to its concept.

The Liberty Burger with Fries ($32) features a juicy grilled wagyu patty, paired with aged cheddar, streaky bacon, caramelised onions, and Liberty’s signature BBQ sauce. Sandwiched between fluffy buns and served with crispy fries, it’s a comforting and well-executed classic.

The standout among the brunch mains is the Prawn Tagliatelle ($34). Cooked perfectly al dente, the pasta is coated in a robust sambal lobster bisque, with tobiko adding delightful bursts of briny flavour. Two large, fresh prawns, grilled to perfection, crown the dish – a must-try for seafood lovers.

Artisanal pizzas are also available from $12.90. We tried the Margherita ($26), made with Poolish dough that combines Italian Caputo flour with Japanese flour. The result is a light and airy crust, though the flavours leaned towards the safe side.

Smoked Meat Platter 4.5/5

The Smoked Meat Platter (U.P. $138, now $98) is a huge weekend steal. It comes with 200g of Char Siu Pork Belly and 200g of Kalbi Short-rib – both succulent, tender, and deeply flavourful. Despite the discount, the quality is uncompromised, and the accompanying Asian salad provides freshness to balance the richness. For pork lovers, the Char Siu Pork Belly (U.P. $24) is also available at 50% off ($12).

The Masses @ Arcade The Capitol Kempinski - New Rustic Farm-style Communal Brunch with Franco-Asian Twist Every Sunday

Celebrate Sundays with loved ones over a new rustic farm-style communal brunch at The Masses, located in Capitol Singapore. Their Franco-Asian experience celebrates seasonal produce through a 10-dish sharing menu, priced at $68.80++ per adult and $38++ per child (6–10 years). Children 5 and below dine free with a complimentary main.

Freshly Shucked Oysters

To elevate your brunch, top up for Freshly Shucked Oysters ($30++ for 6) from their mobile oyster cart, featuring Boutrais La Sentinelle from Ireland and Amelie Super Spéciale from France.

Bread & Dips

The Bread & Dips was simple yet delicious, comprising sourdough, brioche, and baguette paired with strawberry jam, smashed avocado, and a standout umami butter rich with kombu. The butter was so addictive that I was tempted to take home a jar with me (they are available for sale). The smashed avocado, accompanied by a generous drizzle of olive oil, was perfect with the bread as well.

Salade

Next was a refreshing Salade of crunchy haricot vert beans, strawberries, brillat-savarin cheese, and hazelnuts, brightened with a tangy honey mustard dressing.

Cold Cuts

The Cold Cuts Platter featured an assortment of pork and chicken liver pâté, salmon rillettes, Parma ham, and hot-smoked mackerel, served with breadsticks, pickled mushrooms, pearl onions, cornichons, Pommery mustard, and cornichons. If the breadsticks are insufficient for you, you can request more bread to pair.

Caviar

The Caviar arrived next, accompanied by thin homemade potato chips paired with a sour cream dip featuring egg, chives, and caviar. It was lighter than we expected, and we wished there was a touch bit more salt for better balance.

Tartare

For Tartare, we had slices of hay-smoked hamachi crudo paired with zesty grapefruit and orange. The balance of citrus and smokiness worked well.

Seasonal Roasted Mushrooms

We were excited to learn that the restaurant collaborates with local farmers every month to offer a curated selection of seasonal dishes. During our visit, we had Seasonal Roasted Mushrooms - incredibly fresh and lightly dressed, allowing the natural, earthy flavours to come through.

Egg

For the next Egg dish, diners will be presented with Scrambled Eggs topped with thinly shaved winter black truffle. It was a pity that this was a touch dry for us.

Signature Meat

We moved on to the Signature Meat: a Crispy Chicken Leg with tender meat finished with a luscious sauce suprême. This was one of our stars of the brunch.

Chef’s Special

The Chef's Special featured the Barramundi Ala Meuniere sat atop brown butter, with capers, herbs and citrus.

Before moving on to the final sweet, it's worth noting that second helpings of dishes are also available, specifically the Bread & Dips, Caviar, Tartare, and Signature Meat.

Dessert

Dessert paled slightly in comparison to the savouries even though it was served nicely warm, as their Blueberry Tart with Rhubarb Jam came with a softer crust than we’d prefer.
