Keyaki4

Keyaki at Pan Pacific Singapore welcomes a new Executive Chef, Teruya Noriyoshi, at its helm. With over 28 years of experience, having worked alongside renowned chefs at globally acclaimed restaurants, including several Nobu outlets, Chef Teruya brings not just technical finesse but also a deep respect for seasonality and presentation that reflects the beauty of nature.

Amuse Bouche 5/5

The meal began on a high note with the Amuse Bouche, which featured a quartet of beautifully crafted bites that demonstrated a keen sense of balance and creativity. I started with the Foie Gras Terrine, which came piped into a crispy rice waffle. Infused with brandy, it was rich and luscious, doing a great job of whetting the appetite. The Octopus Carpaccio with White Shrimp followed, an exceptional pairing and meticulously plating of tender octopus carpaccio and creamy shrimp. The King Salmon Sashimi Spring Roll was light and refreshing, while the Japanese Sweet Corn Flan with Uni and Caviar delivered a bold, savoury-sweet finish that stood out for its intensity and creaminess.

Keyaki10
Sous Vide Spiny Lobster 3/5

Next came the main appetiser, Sous Vide Spiny Lobster, with a White Miso Américaine Bavarois, Ikura, and Ume Jelly. It was aesthetically pleasing, but the texture of the lobster was slightly mushy at the ends. The Bavarois, despite being miso-based, turned out sweeter than expected, which slightly disrupted the overall balance.

Keyaki18
Hokkaido Scallop 4/5

From the teppan counter came a perfectly seared Hokkaido Scallop topped with Wasabi Salsa and Caviar. The scallop was sweet and meaty, and the Wasabi Salsa gave it a bright lift that brought everything together.

Keyaki26
Roasted A4 Iwate Wagyu 4.5/5

The main course featured Roasted A4 Iwate Wagyu, served with wasabi mashed potato and a Japanese egg yolk sukiyaki sauce. The beef was beautifully done, with enough fat rendered to bring out all its rich, deep flavours. The sukiyaki sauce, enriched with egg yolk, added a luscious umami boost, and I liked that the mashed potato had a rustic texture, which helped keep the dish grounded and not overly rich.

Keyaki32
Nigiri 3.5/5

Following that was a sushi course with three types of Chef's selection Nigiri — Amberjack, Kinmedai, and Suzuki. The fish was fresh, and each piece offered a nice variation in texture and flavour, though I did find the rice just a little grainy in some bites.

Keyaki36
Dessert 5/5

The dessert was a wonderful finish. A bittersweet Matcha Mizu Chocolate paired with delicate homemade Wagashi and seasonal fruits. The chocolate was smooth and paired nicely with the strawberry, but the wagashi was the real highlight, one of the best I've had, soft with the right amount of sweetness, carrying the classic flavours of a Japanese sweet.

Altro Zafferano @ Ocean Financial Centre - A Bright and Bold Refreshed Menu in Celebration of Southern Italian Flavours

ZafferanoMay25-27

Altro Zafferano, perched atop Ocean Financial Centre, returns with a refreshed dining concept centred on everyday social dining. Known for its refined Italian cuisine, the restaurant now embraces a more vibrant and approachable experience, bringing the warmth, boldness, and sun-soaked flavours of Southern Italy to the heart of Singapore's CBD. With a bright Mediterranean spirit and a reimagined menu, Altro Zafferano continues to impress with culinary finesse and soulful, honest cooking.

ZafferanoMay25-5
Pomodoro e Basilico 4/5

We started with the Pomodoro e Basilico ($15), a comforting focaccia that embodies the rustic charm of Italy. Made in-house with sourdough and baked until golden, the base is topped with sweet Neapolitan tomatoes, fresh basil, and a drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil. The tomatoes are the star. They are plump, juicy, and bursting with natural sweetness, elevating this humble starter with their vibrant, sun-ripened flavour.

ZafferanoMay25-1
Insalata di Polpo e Patate 4.2/5

The Insalata di Polpo e Patate ($28) showcases a tender Mediterranean octopus paired with baby potatoes, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, and a medley of herbs like parsley, chervil, and chives. The light gremolata dressing lifts the dish with citrusy brightness and herbal freshness, tying all the components together into a well-balanced appetiser that awakens the palate.

ZafferanoMay25-9
Carpaccio di Manzo, Pecorino e Senape 4.2/5

The Carpaccio di Manzo ($26) features Australian grain-fed beef sliced and rolled with rocket leaves, pecorino cheese, and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. Topped with finely chopped shallots and dressed in a whole grain mustard vinaigrette, each bite is a complex interplay of peppery greens, savoury cheese, tangy balsamic, and tender beef. It is a refined starter with great textural contrast and depth.

ZafferanoMay25-21
Fusilloni con Ragu alla Genovese 4.5/5

A standout from the pasta section, the Fusilloni con Ragu alla Genovese ($36) is rich, hearty, and comforting. The artisanal pasta from Southern Italy is coated in a slow-cooked Genovese ragu made from onions and Australian Wagyu beef, simmered in red wine for six hours. Finished with parmesan, bay leaf, thyme, and rosemary, this dish delivers soul-soothing depth and perfect al dente texture.

ZafferanoMay25-15
Rigatoni alla Gricia 4/5

Prepared tableside for a bit of flair, the Rigatoni alla Gricia ($36 per pax) is a decadent experience. The pasta is tossed inside a pecorino cheese wheel, soaking up all the rich, salty goodness, then topped with crispy guanciale and a bold pepper blend of Sichuan and black pepper. A luxurious treat especially for cheese lovers, balanced by the smoky-savoury punch of guanciale.

ZafferanoMay25-26
Tagliata di Manzo, Rucola e Balsamico 4.2/5

For mains, the Tagliata di Manzo ($68) is a masterclass in simplicity done right. The Black Angus grain-fed striploin is grilled over a Josper to seal in juices and flavour, seasoned with rosemary oil, thyme, and fennel seeds, and finished with a drizzle of Lambrusco balsamico. Served alongside fresh Italian rocket and cherry tomatoes, the dish is full-bodied, tender, and focused entirely on letting the quality of the beef shine.

ZafferanoMay25-33
Branzino all'Acqua Pazza 4.5/5

The Branzino all’Acqua Pazza ($58) was another highlight. The beautifully deboned Sardinian seabass, reassembled with the head and tail intact and baked in a delicate broth of vegetable stock, tomatoes, white wine, olives, and parsley. Finished with extra virgin olive oil and Amalfi lemon, the fish is moist and flaky, its flavours lifted by the bright citrus and briny broth. Elegant and satisfying.

ZafferanoMay25-43
Tiramisu 4.5/5

We ended on a high note with the Tiramisu ($24). This refined rendition layers mascarpone cream with gluten-free Savoiardi biscuits, soaked in espresso, orange peel, and a touch of Cointreau, then dusted with cocoa. The dessert is smooth and light, offering just the right balance of bitterness and sweetness, a sophisticated and well-balanced end to the meal.

With its reimagined focus on approachable yet elevated Southern Italian cuisine, Altro Zafferano offers a vibrant dining experience that blends tradition with creativity. Whether you’re here for a business lunch, romantic dinner, or a weekend indulgence, the restaurant’s new menu invites you to savour Italy’s bold flavours in the heart of Singapore.

AmoJan25-2
Artisanal Burrata Cheese with Datterini Tomatoes and Basil Pesto 4.2/5

We began our meal with the Artisanal Burrata Cheese with Datterini Tomatoes and Basil Pesto ($28). The soft, creamy burrata was complemented by the tomatoes' natural sweetness, while the basil pesto added an aromatic lift, bringing the dish together beautifully.

AmoJan25-6
Roman Artichoke Fries with Paprika and Black Truffle Crema 4.2/5

For a crispy, addictive snack, the Roman Artichoke Fries with Paprika and Black Truffle Crema ($18) was a standout. Coated in a light batter, the artichokes had a crispy exterior and fluffy interior, reminiscent of potato wedges but with a richer, earthier flavour.

AmoJan25-9
Wagyu Beef Carpaccio with Rucola, Parmigiano and Truffle Relish 4.2/5

The Wagyu Beef Carpaccio with Rucola, Parmigiano, and Truffle Relish ($26) delivered a melt-in-the-mouth experience. The peppery rucola, savoury Parmigiano, and fragrant truffle relish elevated the silky, tender beef, creating a vibrant and well-balanced dish.

AmoJan25-14
Sourdough Bruschetta with Pizzutelli Tomatoes and Basil Pesto 4/5

Another delightful bite was the Sourdough Bruschetta with Pizzutelli Tomatoes and Basil Pesto ($20). The toasted sourdough provided the perfect base for the sweet Pizzutelli tomatoes and herbaceous basil pesto, offering a satisfying crunch with every bite.

AmoJan25-17
Homemade Spaghetti Chitarra with Seafood and Pomodoro 4.5/5

AmoJan25-33
Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe with Pecorino Cheese and Black Pepper 4.2/5

For the pasta course, we tried the Homemade Spaghetti Chitarra with Seafood and Pomodoro ($35) and the Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe with Pecorino Cheese and Black Pepper ($26). The Spaghetti Chitarra stood out with its sweet and tangy tomato-based sauce, perfectly paired with fresh seafood. Meanwhile, the Cacio e Pepe, a creamy and cheese-laden delight, catered to those who enjoy rich, indulgent flavours. However, it felt slightly plain without additional ingredients to enhance the dish.

AmoJan25-38
Quattro Formaggi 4/5

The Quattro Formaggi ($28) was a must-try for cheese lovers. A decadent combination of Smoked Scamorza, Taleggio, Buffalo Mozzarella, and Provolone created a rich, umami-packed pizza with layers of distinct flavours melding together beautifully.

AmoJan25-23
Grilled Wagyu Beef Hanging Tender Tagliata with Truffle Mash 4.2/5

The Grilled Wagyu Beef Hanging Tender Tagliata with Truffle Mash ($42) was grilled to perfection. It boasted a gorgeous charred exterior while remaining tender and full-bodied inside. The luxurious truffle mash added a smooth and creamy complement to the dish.

AmoJan25-26
Grilled Iberico Pork Secreto with Sweet Onion Figgione 4.2/5

Another highlight was the Grilled Iberico Pork Secreto with Sweet Onion Figgione ($36). The succulent, well-marbled pork paired wonderfully with the sweet onion figgione, enhancing the meat's natural flavours with a delightful sweetness.

AmoJan25-44
Roasted Seabass with Artichokes, Capers and Confit Tomatoes 4.5/5

The Roasted Seabass with Artichokes, Capers, and Confit Tomatoes ($42) was a beautifully executed dish for seafood lovers. The crispy skin, flaky flesh, and acidity from the confit tomatoes created a balanced and satisfying bite.

AmoJan25-50
Panna Cotta with Blood Orange Caramel 4.2/5

To round off the meal, we indulged in the Panna Cotta with Blood Orange Caramel ($15). The wobbly, creamy panna cotta was perfectly matched with the rich blood orange caramel, delivering a satisfying balance of sweetness and acidity.

AmoJan25-53
Amo Tiramisu 4.2/5

The Amò Tiramisu ($18) stayed true to tradition, offering a well-executed rendition of this classic Italian dessert. Each bite was light yet flavourful, ticking all the boxes for a great tiramisu.

AmoJan25-60
Pistachio & White Chocolate Lave Cake with Amaretto Cream 3.8/5

The Pistachio & White Chocolate Lava Cake with Amaretto Cream ($16) was a luxurious treat. The nutty aroma of pistachio combined with the sweetness of white chocolate created a delightful harmony, while the Amaretto cream added a nutty, boozy finish to elevate the dish further.

Amò's revamped menu showcases a strong dedication to authentic Italian flavours with a modern touch. From the flavorful antipasti to the indulgent desserts, each dish reflects the warmth and passion of Italian dining. Gunther's Modern French Dining - A Special Curated Degustation Menu Highlighting Chef's Signature Dishes and Culinary Artistry

Gunthers-24

Established in 2007, Gunther's Restaurant is a renowned destination for Modern French dining in Singapore, which speaks to the consistency and quality of their food and service over the years. Their thoughtful approach in presenting the entire dining experience is evident, an example being their continued use of real silverware, which adds a touch of old-world sophistication and charm.

They have recently updated their à la carte menu and offered a curated degustation menu highlighting the chefs' signature dishes and culinary artistry. There is a choice of a 4-course ($158 per person) or 6-course Degustation Menu ($228 per person), with a further option to have wine accompaniment for either menu.

Gunthers-29

We started our 4-course dinner with a freshly Baked Mini Baguette with Butter. The baguette was served warm and featured a crisp, golden crust and a soft interior, accompanied by a rich, creamy butter that melts beautifully when spread on the baguette.

Gunthers-27
Tempura Prawn

Next, we were treated to a snack of Tempura Prawn that was light and crispy. This nice touch provided a little nibble as we waited for our first course.

Gunthers-26
Cold Angel Hair Pasta topped with Oscietra Caviar 5/5

For our first course, we selected two different options- the first being their famous Cold Angel Hair Pasta topped with Oscietra caviar, and the second being the Tartare Flavoured Carpaccio of Saga Wagyu Striploin.

The Cold Angel Hair Pasta, topped with Oscietra caviar, is truly a dish that speaks for itself, and in my opinion, it's absolutely perfect. Every delicate, silky strand of chilled pasta is tossed with chives, kombu and truffle oil for a delicious taste. It is also luxuriously topped with Oscietra caviar for a briny pop of flavour. A standout choice, I would love to eat this again!

Gunthers-22
Tartare Flavoured Carpaccio of Saga Wagyu Striploin 4.2/5

The second starter we tried was the Tartare Flavoured Carpaccio of Saga Wagyu Striploin, a dish that showcases the high quality of meat used. Thinly sliced, the carpaccio highlights the rich marbling and tenderness of the Saga Wagyu, known for its exceptionally buttery texture. It’s also sprinkled with some cheese shavings and crispy croutons.

Gunthers-31
White Whole Truffle

Gunthers-17
Gratinated Cevennes Onion 3.8 /5

Moving on to our second course, we also savoured two different options. I had the Gratinated Cevennes Onion with Seasonal White Truffle, lemon and black pepper, whilst my dining companion opted for the Roasted Spanish Carabinero Gambas with light spicy tomato-flavoured rice.

For the Gratinated Cevennes Onion dish, seasonal white truffles are shaved over the caramelised Cevennes onions and served elegantly in a silver bowl. The baked dish features a rich, buttery aroma that complements the distinctive sweetness of the onions, creating a comforting yet refined flavour profile. However, I found the portion size of this dish to be really small, and I finished it in two bites.

Gunthers-20
Roasted Spanish Carabinero Gambas with Light Spicy Tomato Flavoured Rice 4.5/5

For a heartier second starter, consider the Roasted Spanish Carabinero Gambas. This dish has half of the Carabinero prawn roasted to perfection and bursting with flavour. It is served alongside a tangy tomato-flavoured rice with a bit of spiciness that makes it even more satisfying.

Gunthers-9
Roasted Iberico Pork Jowl 4.8/5

Moving on to our main plate, we tried two delightful dishes: Roasted Iberico Pork Jowl and Grilled Wagyu Beef Sirloin.

Considering that pork is almost never my first choice for a main, I was thoroughly impressed with the Roasted Iberico Pork Jowl, which was accompanied by herbs, raspberries, and hibiscus sauce. The pork jowl was beautifully prepared—tender and juicy, with a perfect balance of fat and meat. The hibiscus sauce and raspberries complemented the pork wonderfully, adding a touch of tanginess without being overly sour. I would definitely pick this dish again!

Gunthers-7
Grilled Wagyu Beef Sirloin 4.5/5

The Grilled Wagyu Beef Sirloin is also delicious; it comes with roasted sweet corn and a caramelised banana shallot that enhances the flavour of the dish, whilst crispy potato strips provide a nice crunch. Overall, this is a well-rounded dish showcasing the beef's high quality.

Gunthers-14
Floating Island of Chocolate on Coffee Flavoured Parfait 4.2/5

Last but not least was the dessert course, and I selected the Floating Island of Chocolate on Coffee-Flavoured Parfait. It's a dense, warm chocolate cake with a rich, gooey centre. Paired with coffee-flavoured parfait, it's a timeless flavour combination that is quite irresistible.

Gunthers-4
Fine Apple Tart “Aux Dragées”, Salted Caramel, Havana Rum Raisin Ice Cream 4.5/5

The Fine Apple Tart "Aux Dragées" features a delicate pastry base filled with sweet apple compote and some crunchy caramelised sugar. To elevate the experience, it is served alongside Havana rum raisin ice cream, which makes for an indulgent dessert. It is something quite special that I have not had before, and I enjoyed the crispy pastry paired with the ice cream very much.

Gunthers-11
Canelés, Cookies and Choc Truffle

We were presented with Petit Fours, featuring Canelés, a crisp Cookie, and a rolled Chocolate Truffle to conclude our meal. We also enjoyed warm, freshly baked mini financiers with delightfully crisp edges.

Gunthers-1

Dinner at Gunther's was a memorable dining experience marked by high-quality ingredients and well-balanced, delicious flavours in each dish. The chef is very skilled and has many signature dishes which are well worth trying.

However, expect that portions are on the smaller side overall. Personally, it left me feeling satisfied but not uncomfortably full. However, for those with a larger appetite, the smaller portions might leave you wanting more.

IMG_6259

True Cost in Suntec City's Sky Garden prides itself on offering diners food and alcohol at low markups. The menu primarily features Asian and Modern European flavours, complemented by an extensive beverage list, which includes house-made cocktails, mocktails, wines, spirits, and beers.

IMG_6150

The rooftop restaurant and bar provide a scenic overlook of Suntec City, with gorgeous natural sunlight pouring in during the day.

For a complimentary entry, visiting between 3pm to 5pm on weekdays and 9pm to 10pm daily is best. Outside these times, a moderate entrance fee of $5 per person for lunch between 12pm and 3pm and $10 per person for dinner between 5pm and 9pm. However, there's a 50% discount on the fees daily from 5pm if you opt for bar seating.

IMG_6258
Watermelon Ceviche 3.8/5

We began with the refreshing Watermelon Ceviche ($9). The combination of tomatoes, feta cheese, pecans, olive oil, and watermelon created a delightful mix of textures and flavours. The fragrant and crunchy pecans were a standout.

IMG_6255

IMG_6256
Octopus Carpaccio 2.8/5

Next, we tried the Octopus Carpaccio ($15.95), which was unfortunately less impressive. The sliced octopus, tossed in a bright orange dressing with tahini, sundried tomatoes, and za'atar, was too chewy and tough. At its price point, it felt slightly overpriced.

IMG_6259

IMG_6260
BBQ Pork Ribs 4/5

True Cost's BBQ Pork Ribs ($18.50) appeared to be a popular choice among diners. Served alongside grilled corn and kimchi cucumbers, the fall-off-the-bone ribs had a pleasant hint of smokiness. Although the slightly spiced corn was a touch dry, the overall dish was satisfying.

IMG_6261

IMG_6262
Crab Linguini 4/5

For our second main dish, we had the Crab Linguine ($22). The al dente linguine was tossed in a rich, savoury, buttery bisque sauce with ample crab meat.

IMG_6263
Baklava Sundae 4.2/5

Dessert was the Greek-inspired Baklava Sundae ($11), which was made with a base of sunflower seed mousse, pistachio ice cream, and cherry syrup drizzled over. We broke into the thin, super flaky pastry and were pleasantly surprised by the balanced sweetness. The layered textures - from the crushed nuts and crisp pastry to the nutty sunflower seed mousse and tangy cherry syrup, were delightful. While a richer pistachio ice cream would have been preferred, it worked good as a sharing dessert to end the meal.
