Crispy Salmon Skin Lo Hei 4/5

For those that wants to avoid raw fish this year, the Crispy Salmon Skin Lo Hei ($118 large) at Min Jiang will be an ideal choice. The varieties of crunchy vegetables, orange peel, jellyfish and crispy salmon is all hold together with the homemade tangy sweet plum based sauce. This is available for both dine-in and takeaway.

Gong Xi Fa Cai 4/5

Gong Xi Fa Cai ($298) is inspired by the Mahjong game which is commonly play during Lunar New Year. The good fortune "FA" mahjong tile is made entirely of salt. To reveal the delicacy inside the salt crust, diners have to break out it with the mallet.

Breaking open the salt crust is a delicious treasures of pig trotter which has been braised for 4 hours. Australian 6 head abalones, dried scallops, flower mushrooms and black moss. This is also available for both dine-in and takeaway at Min Jiang. The portion is good for 8 people.

Braised Whole Chicken with Sea Treasures in Claypot 4.5/5

Lunar New Year is all about feasting and the Braised Whole Chicken with Sea Treasures in Claypot ($248) will definitely impress your guests. The pot consists of a whole spring chicken flash fried, then braised for an hour together with Australian 10 head abalones, dried oysters, flower mushrooms, dried scallops, white radish, black moss and gluten puffs stuffed with minced pork and prawn paste. The portion is good for 6 persons. Available for both dine-in and takeaway at Min Jiang.

Fruity Lo Hei with Bacon and White Truffle Oil 4.2/5

While Min Jiang has the Crispy Skin Lo Hei, over at Min Jiang at One-North, it has the Fruity Lo Hei with Bacon and White Truffle Oil ($78 small/ $128 big). It comes with romaine, mixed lettuce, baby radish, carrot and radish strips, surrounded with julienne slices of mango, rock melon, Japanese cucumber, and strawberries. This is topped with crispy bacon bites and deep fried yam. Blending the refreshing yusheng together is the dressing made with plum sauce, mixed fruits and white truffle oil. This is available for both dine-in and takeaway.

Braised Pork Spare Ribs with Sea Treasures in Claypot 4.2/5

For a more luxurious feast, Min Jiang at One-North offers the Braised Pork Spare Ribs with Sea Treasures in Claypot ($248) which is good for 6 persons. A lot of effort is put into cooking the pork ribs. It is flash-fried, braised and then steamed. All this preparation needs at least 5 hours to get the intense flavours and tenderness. Other ingredients such as the Australian 8 head abalones, sea cucumber, dried oysters, dried scallops, flower mushrooms, black moss and Tianjin cabbage which have been cooked separately are all put together before serving. It is available for takeaway too.

Nian Gao Platter 4.5/5

For dessert, we have a trio of Nian Giao inspired dishes in the Ondeh-Ondeh Inspired Nian Gao, Durian Nian Gao Roll and Deep Fried Nian Gao with Banana. All three are such a delightful creation that I wish they can sell it all year round.

Auspicious Blessings Cake 3/5

Symbolising blessings of wealth and good luck is the Auspicious Blessings Cake ($88, 1kg). The earl grey butter cake is fashioned to look like a mandarin orange carrier bag. There are even gold coins and mandarin oranges propped on top of the bag made from milk chocolate and orange chocolate respectively. This is a lovely gift for the season.

Wealth of Opportunities Cake 3/5

Shaped to look a giant golden garlic, the Wealth of Opportunities Cake ($88, 1kg) is said to bring fortune and good opportunities in Chinese Feng Shui. Another unique and cute creation made from chocolate marble cake.

Advance order of three working days is required for takeaways and the last order date is 19 February 2016 at 12 noon.
