Brunch started with a basket of Assorted Bread & Pastries ($12) that considered of baguette, sourdough, scone, croissant and Danish served with butter, clotted cream and jam.

Pancake 4/5

Love the Pancake ($12) served at Halia. The delectable pancake is served with bacon & maple butter, fresh strawberries and puree. Not sure whether it was intention but the burnt exterior of the pancake actually made it more flavourful.

Freshly Shucked Irish Oysters 4.5/5

How can I resist when the Chef asked if we want to try some of the freshly flown in Irish Oysters ($5.50/pc). The oyster was so fat and juicy. It was so fresh and good that I could not resist having a second helping.

White Bean Iberico Chorizo Leek Stew 3.5/5

The huge bowl of White Bean Iberico Chorizo Leek Stew ($16) is something unique that I have not tried before. The hearty stew comes with an egg sunny side up, smoked chipotle sauce, tomato and fine herbs. The taste may be acquire for some but it was pleasant for me.

IMG_2480ed
Mushroom Capellini 4.8/5

The Mushroom Capellini ($22) was my favourite among all the items I tried on the brunch menu. The earthy and creamy mushroom capellini with fresh winter truffle and herb oil was so beautiful that the wonderful flavours are still lingering in me. If I go back to Halia, I will definitely order this dish again.

Celeriac Lasagna 4.2/5

Chilli Crab Pasta 4/5

Beside the brunch menu, the ala carte menu is also available during brunch. A must try at Halia is the ever popular Celeriac Lasagna ($12), Chilli Crab Pasta ($25) and Sous vide Baharat Chicken Leg ($28).

Once again the food at Halia did not disappoint me. It was another memorable visit. I am thankful that The Halia opened this outlet at Raffles Hotel which is convenient and easily accessible by public transport.

For the gourmand experience, diners will get to feast on the most decadent and exotic fresh seafood and shellfish flown in from different parts of the world. Pick from chilled seafood counter a premium selection of Boston Lobsters, Steamed Blue Crabs, Tasmanian Crayfish, New Zealand Green Mussels, Freshly Shucked Fines de Claires Oysters, Jumbo Bay Clams and Poached Tiger Prawns.

IMG_2433ed
Lobster Bisque 4.2/5

The Lobster Bisque was packed with the beautiful lobster flavour, robust and velvety.

IMG_2438ed
Black Pepper Slipper Lobster 4.2/5

The Black Pepper Slipper Lobster was fresh and nicely coated with the pepperish flavour. The black pepper was slightly on the sweet side not overly spicy, allowing one to still enjoy the freshness and sweetness of slipper lobster.

Hawker Style Stir Fried Bamboo Clams 3/5

The Hawker Style Stir Fried Bamboo Clams is cooked in a chilli crab like sauce which was very delectable. Unfortunately the bamboo clams with a bit overcooked and tough.

IMG_2445ed
Baked Whole Salmon with Seafood and Aromatic Spices 4.5/5

It was very interesting to know how the chef pieced the salmon, scallops and prawns all together into a dish. The Baked Whole Salmon with Seafood and Aromatic Spices was definitely one of the favourite among the group. When eaten together with the coconut and lemongrass espuma, the combination reminded me our local otak dish which was quite unique and delish.

IMG_2452ed
Baked Conchigliette Pasta with Shrimp & Mozzarella Cheese 2.8/5

The Baked Conchigliette Pasta with Shrimp & Mozzarella Cheese was probably the least favourite. The pasta was kind of dry and felt like the dish is screaming for more sauce. For a seafood themed, it was lackluster.

IMG_2455ed
Parisian Mussel with Fresh Herb Crumbles 4/5

The Parisian Mussel with Fresh Herb Crumbles was fresh and fat. I liked the simplicity in execution allowing one to fully enjoy the nature flavour of the sea.

Besides what I have tried, they are many other delightful seafood dishes such Truffle Risotto with Pan Seared Scallop, Truffle Salt and Caviar Butter, Amritsari Fish, Freshly Sliced Sashimi and Soft Shell Crab Tempura available during Feast of the Seven Seas.
