Lime @ PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering - Indulge in Lime Restaurant's Festive Buffets This Holiday Season

Ring in the holiday cheer with a sumptuous spread and great company this festive season at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering’s with Lime Restaurant’s delightful festive line-up available from 1 December 2022 to 2 January 2023, including the extra festive Christmas and New Year Buffets from 24 to 26 December, 31 December, and 1 to 2 January 2023.

The indulgence begins at the Seafood Bar, where you can indulge in some crustacean delights of fresh Prawns, Mussels, Gong Gongs and Oysters, as well as a selection of Sashimi and Sushi.

Festive highlights include the savoury gourmet roasts of the Roast Herb Crusted Sirloin, Traditional Roast Turkey, and Triple Glazed Ham.

The meats are best paired with a side of their seasonal vegetables, Vegetable Autumn Pie, crispy Potato Croquettes and Vegetarian Lasagne.

Fans of local flavours can head for the Chinese dishes such as the Wok-fried Asian Green with Garlic, Salt & Pepper Prawns and the Braised Pork Belly with Steamed Mantou.

Not to be missed is the Laksa, featuring a delicious spicy broth brimming with ingredients such as fish cake, quail egg, bean sprouts, taupok and crayfish.

Throughout the meal, LIME's featured chefs will also present their signature pass-around tasting dishes, including the well-loved Lobster Linguini, Prawn Cocktail, and Spicy Prawn Wonton made a la minute. Guests are also able to make requests for unlimited servings of these special dishes. We particularly enjoyed the a la minute dishes such as the briny Lobster Linguine and refreshing Prawn Cocktail, which comes loaded with cubes of juicy sweet mango and tender prawn meat.

Christmas would not be complete without Lime’s quintessential Christmas Log Cakes, such as the Christmas Chocolate Yule Log, and the festive sweet treats including the Gingerbread Latte Pudding, Minced Fruit Pie, Festive Stollen, Candied Panettone, and Christmas Fruit Cake.

Da Paolo Time-Honored Italian Favourites For Christmas Hosting & Gifting 2022

Stuffed & Deboned Roast Turkey

The highlight at Da Paolo has to be the Stuffed & Deboned Roast Turkey ($358, approx 4kg) with three layers of stuffing. In the centre of the giant bird is Cotechino, a traditional Italian-style sausage served during Christmas. A layer of chestnuts, leeks and mushrooms encased the pork meat sausage, followed by a final layer of aromatic chorizo spiced mince. The Christmas bird is served alongside roasted potatoes, carrots, onions and a tangy housemade fresh passion fruit sauce. It is suitable for 10 to 12 pax.

Brussels Sprouts, Turnips & Cranberry Salad

The feast is never complete without the sides. Some of the stunning sides that I enjoyed is the appetising Brussels Sprouts, Turnips & Cranberry Salad ($65), where finely shaved brussels sprouts and crispy turnips are tossed with dried cranberries, olive oil, lemon juice and black pepper. It can serve 4 to 6 pax.

Truffle Mac & Cheese

Another lovely side is the Truffle Mac & Cheese ($99), baked with Italian cheese and homemade bechamel, drizzled with Italian truffle oil. These hearty baked pasta can serve 4 to 6 pax.

Wreath

There is a splendid line-up of irresistible sweet treats for the sweet tooth, such as the dainty edible Christmas wreaths. They are two flavours - White Chocolate Candied Fruit Wreath ($24.90) and Dark Chocolate Pistachio Wreath ($24.90).

For every first time, Da Paolo has put together a line-up of three log cakes. This year, the traditional Yule logs take on a contemporary Italian spin. Panettone Classico

Panettone, a widely enjoyed treat during Christmas time, is available at Da Paolo too. The Panettone Classico ($72) with candied orange peel and raisins is authentically handcrafted by Da Paolo's artisanal bakers in Italy, following an exclusive secret recipe with the use of multi-generational and time-honoured techniques. Besides the classic panettone, there are two other flavours in the Panettone Ciocccolato ($72) and Panettone Prosecco ($72).

A Sparkling Yuletide at Pan Pacific Singapore, Christmas 2022

Pink Guava and Strawberry Log Cake

Pan Pacific Singapore debuts three new log cake flavours apart from the two old-time favourites this Christmas. The Pink Guava and Strawberry Log Cake are dressed in an alluring red hue, featuring an interesting combination of light pink guava mousse, strawberry confit and red velvet cake. The flavour carries a slight tang, making it as delectable as it looks.

Coconut Mango Log Cake

Coconut Mango Log Cake leans towards a more tropical note, with mango passionfruit confit sandwiched between two layers of coconut dacquoise and enveloped by fluffy coconut mousse. I love how Christmasy it looks!

The Festive Afternoon Tea ($128++ for two persons) offers savoury finger sandwiches alongside dainty sweet treats. The latter includes Chestnut Berry Financier, my favourite of the selections, and Pecan Cinnamon Cheesecake for a touch of Christmas flavour.

Mrs. Claus’ Cosmo, Papa Noël’s Mule

Two Yuletide Cocktails of very different characters were created - Papa Noël’s Mule ($20), a concoction of Rémy Martin VSOP, Campari, ginger beer and angostura bitters, and Mrs. Claus’ Cosmo ($18), which is pretty in pink with Ketel One Vodka, Limoncello, cranberry juice and lime juice.

Soy-glazed Turkey

Takeaway Gourmet Delights from Sofitel Singapore City Centre also offers Turkey with Truffle Butter ($172 nett). If you wish to try a more Asian flavour, the Soy-glazed Turkey ($172 nett) checks the boxes with a sweet and savoury Japanese-style rub comprising soy sauce, sugar, sake and mirin.

Framboise Mousse Cake

For sweets, the vibrant Framboise Mousse Cake ($96 nett) is made of almond sponge layered with raspberry jam, raspberry inspiration cream, raspberry jelly, and Opalys vanilla mousse.
