Azur @ Crowne Plaza Changi Airport

Crabs lover will be rejoiced with the latest promotion from Azur at Crowne Plaza Changi Airport. Azur has brought Singapore's most love crustacean, the crab to their buffet spread together with delightful savoury and sweet crepes for a special weekend-only dinner buffet from 25 September to 29 November 2015.

From the Seafood Bar, guests get to try a variety of crabs, such as the Spanner Rock Crab, Cold Alaska Crab Claws, Cold Stone Crabs, Poached Tiger Prawns and freshly shucked Oysters.

At the Hot Asian Crab Dishes section, guests can get to try Wok Fried Cereal Crab, Salted Egg Crab, Black Peppercorn Crab, Singapore Chilli Crab, and Curry Crab.

They are also many other crab inspired hot dishes on the buffet spread such as Deep Fried Crab Meat Tofu with Leek and Oyster sauce, Deep Fried Softshell Crab with Thai Coriander Chilli, just to name a few.

Moving on to the Western section, some of the highlights are the Saffron Rice with Tomato Crab, Baked Whole Barramundi with Crab Meat Herbs Crust, BBQ Sri Lankan Crab, Crispy Dungeness Crab Cakes with Chestnuts in Mango-Pineapple Salsa and Steamed Stone Claw with Zesty Orange Horseradish Sauce.

Another interesting item at the Crab and Crepe Buffeet is the Homemade Crab in Crepes which allows guests to choose from several savoury crab fillings like Curry Mayonnaise Crab, Sambal Dry Shrimps Crab, Crab Meat Goulash, Honey Pineapple Chicken and Crab and Snow Crab Wasabi

I have been to other crab buffet and mostly only showcases the different methods of cooking the crabs with different sauces. What I appreciate at Azur is that it has gone a step further to create dishes using the fresh crab meats.

Besides the full array of crab dishes created by Chef Kiang Siang Heng, guests can still indulgence in the usual buffet spread such as varies sashimi and sushi as well as international cuisine and desserts.

The Crab and Crêpe Buffet is priced at $75++ per pax and available for dinner on Friday to Sunday. Prices are subject to a ten percent service charge and prevailing government taxes. Prior reservations are greatly encouraged

Brizo @ Park Hotel Clarke Quay

Within a short 3 months period, I am back again at Brizo at Park Hotel Clarke Quay. For the period of 1 October to 27 December 2015, guests can look out for a gastronomic buffet spread from different Mediterranean regions, featuring a mouth watering array of 20 seafood dishes and a new Lobster in a Pan dish.

Some of the Mediterranean dishes available on the spread include Provencal Seafood Stew, Seafood Paella, Mediterranean Grilled Sea Bream in Paprika, Rosemary & Garlic, Black Mussel & Clam in White Sauce with Fresh Herbs and Pasta Fusilli Crabmeat Au Gratin.

Brizo has also recently added a BBQ section, guests can tuck into BBQ items such as Tiger Prawns Marinated in Cajun Spices, Dory Fish Fillet and Squid with Sambal Chilli, assorted vegetables and grilled potato.

The star of the Aloy! It's Seafood Night! buffet dinner is the Lobster in a Pan that contains a whole maine lobster, tiger prawns, clams, black mussels, potatoes, corn and gourmet sausages. There is a choice of garlic cream or cioppino sauce. I preferred the garlic cream sauce over the cioppino. Each pan is also served with refillable truffle steak fries to accompany the luxurious seafood.

Rest assured with the Mediterranean theme, the all time favourite crab dishes such as Chilli Crab, Black Pepper Crab and Salted Egg Yolk Crab will still be available in the buffet spread.

The Ahoy! It's the Seafood Night! buffet dinner is available every Thursday to Sunday, from 630pm to 1030pm at $65++ per adult. Children aged 6 to 12 years old at $32++ per child, complimentary for children under 6 years old.
