Western Chow @ Bedok

I got to know of this place from the food tweet community. The concept is western food with a Hainanese twist at coffee shop price. In addition, they are Halal too. Currently, they have another 2 branches at Lorong Ah Soo and Bishan.

I ordered the rosemary lamb rack, black pepper chicken, 2 teh tarik and a mushroom soup all came to a total bill of $20.20. That was cheap isn't it? For the price I am paying, I was surprised by the standard of the food, especially the main courses. The lamb and chicken were very good. Definitely better than some restaurants I have eaten. However, the mushroom soup could be better. I thought it is a bit diluted and lack the thick mushroom flavour I was looking for.

Yu Ji (宇记) Pig Organ Soup @ Albert Centre Market & Food Centre

Albert Centre Market & Food Centre has been newly renovated and I took the opportunity to explore the food centre a bit. There seem to be many interesting and nice food around the food centre. After making a few rounds around the food centre, I decided to settle for the pig organ soup. The pig organ soup had a nice balance and the soup is neither too salty or peppery.

Korean Cuisine @ Food Junction Harbour Front

If you want to avoid the crowd at Harbour Front or Vivo City, this is where you can find cheap and nice food with air conditioning. I wanted something hot to warm my cold body so I ended up ordering the korean noodle which is a warm, soupy and spicy.

Cheezels Biskitz

First of all, this is not an advertorial. I love the popular Australian snack food Cheezels and the new Cheezels biskitz caught my attention when I was shopping at Cold Storage. There are 3 flavours, chilli cheese, classic cheese, sour cream and cheese. I bought the original and sour cream flavours, $2 per box.

Buttercake and Cream @ Sunset Way

I finally got to visit this place after hearing so much of it. It has both an indoor and alfresco sitting area. Beside being known for its popular desserts, you can enjoy a sumptuous meal here. I really enjoyed the roast chicken thigh and tiramisu. I would definitely come back to try the other desserts on the menu.

Heng Heng Boneless Duck Rice.Noodle.Kway Chap @ West Coast Market Square

West Coast Market Square has numerous good hawker stalls and one of them is this duck rice, kway chap stall. I like kway chap that is darker in colour which means that the ingredients were well braised and absorbed the gravy. This stall definitely has it and the kway was silky and smooth too.

Provence Bakery & Cafe @ Holland Village

Provence is a Japanese style bakery and cafe in Singapore. It is conveniently located near the Holland Village MRT station. Their bun is a bit expensive but it is really fresh and soft. The more popular bread would be the milk pan bun and chocolate wassants. I preferred the milk pan as it was fresh, soft and filled with rich custard.

AMK Hainanese Abalone Minced Meat Noodle @ Upper Serangoon

Located at the same coffee shop as the Ponggol Nasi Lemak at Upper Serangoon near Kovan MRT station, I have patron this stall a few times. I like their minced meat noodle or bak chor mee because they used black vinegar. I realised they have also introduced abalone minced meat noodle and it is quite reasonable priced at $4 per bowl.

This stall is located at the coffee shop, BJ 99 eating house next to Courts at Toa Payoh Central. The stall aroused my curiousity because this is the first time I come across dry version of Ban Mian. The dry version really tasted good with the sweet sauce.
