Having enjoyed the food at The Feather Blade before the COVID-19 pandemic, I am glad the restaurant has adapted to the changes and move onto takeaway and delivery services during the circuit breaker period. Though we can't dine at the restaurant now, we still can bring the food to our home.
To be frank, with all the delivery lately due to the circuit breaker period, I have not been having my vegetables regularly. Hence the Caesar Salad with crispy nacho chip egg is a good change to my diet.
Stuffed with minced Feather Blade steak is the chunky Bratwurst laid on a bed of silky garlic mashed potatoes and Sichuan peppercorn sauce.
A great one-dish meal is the Gyudon which consists of 100g of sukiyaki marinated Feather Blade steak on a bed of Japanese rice mixed with kombu and dashi. It is topped with onsen egg, furikake, caramelised onions and garlic chip. You can also choose to add foie gras for an extra $11.
Another dish I enjoyed a lot is the Burger. Sandwiched in between brioche bun is a juicy minced Feather Blade steak, deep-fried in beef fat, and topped with bearnaise and shallots.
Using the lesser-known cut for steak, the Feather Blade Steak is sous vide and then pan-seared before serving for the light exterior char on top its tenderness. The beautiful piece of meat is served together with garlic mashed potatoes and Sichuan peppercorn sauce.
Working together with Native and The Other Room, the menu also includes Cocktails from the world's 100 best bars. Great to see these bars working with restaurants to bring their cocktail concoctions to diners' home. Have a lot, their cocktails are really interesting. Who says we can't chill at home during the circuit breaker period.
