Resorts World Sentosa Singapore Mooncake 2013
This year Resorts World Sentosa Singapore has line-up an exquisite selection of delectable mooncakes for the Mid Autumn Festival. Chinese Head Chef Li Kwok Kwong with his team of dedicated chefs in Feng Shui Inn have created an assortment of meticulously handcrafted treats by recreating fans' all time favourites and inventing new flavours to cater to the discerning palates this year.
Among all the mooncakes I have tried this year, the packaging from Resorts World Sentosa Singapore is probably the most unique of all. Comes in a cylindrical shape tower, sliding open the packaging unveiled 4 stacks of 8 mini mooncakes. This is the Feng Shui Inn's Premium Box ($88), box of 8 that comes with 2 flavours each.
For this first time this year, Feng Shui Inn is introducing flaky crust mooncakes instead of their usual mini snowskin mooncakes. The new creation includes Flaky Pastry with Organic Japanese Purple Sweet Potato and Flaky Pastry with Organic Japanese Golden Sweet Potatoes.
For a fruity and luscious version of the mooncakes, not to be missed is the Hawaiian Golden Pineapple paste with premium grade AA Imperial bird's nest which showcases a harmonious marriage of zesty pineapple paste and top grade luscious imperial bird's nest encased in a thin and soft baked pastry skin.
