Once Upon A Milkshake @ Maxwell Chambers

I have been procrastinating on this post since Charles proposed to Charlene on 25 June 2011. Charles has gathered a group of us to plan a fake food tasting session at Once Upon A Milkshake (OUAM) at Maxwell Chambers. Credit to OUAM and its staff for accommodating and making it a success.

You can read more about the lovely proposal on Charlene's Blog and Maureen's Blog.

I have to confess I am a big fan of OUAM's milkshake. Their premium ice cream milkshakes are good. They also have interesting character names to associate with each flavour. Recently, they have added 8 more new flavours to their menu.

Todai International Seafood and Sushi Buffet Restaurant @ Marina Bay Sands

Lately there are a lot of buffet restaurants opening up in Singapore and they are all very expensive. Thanks to deal.com.sg discount voucher, I got to enjoy the buffet at Todai International Seafood and Sushi Buffet Restaurant for a discounted price at $46 nett.

Walking into the restaurant, I was greeted by the huge Snow Crabs on the buffet line. It was my first time having Snow Crabs and it was quite a challenge tackling them.

Snow Crabs

There were many other fresh seafood such as oysters, mussels, prawns and scallops. Each of us was only limited to 2 oysters per serving. They have a chef at the counter to shell the oysters while another cleaned and distributed them to the queue.

Oysters, Mussels and Scallop

Oyster, Salmon and Tuna

I like the plating at the cold cut/appetizer/salad section which came in a large oval shaped plates.

This is the cooked food section of the buffet line.

Risotto, Scallop, Salmon and Beef

Crayfish

Escargot

Some of the stuff I had from the fried food session

Chicken Wing

Shishamo

If you are a sushi lover, there is a section for sushi. It probably had 10 or more different types of beautifully plated sushi. I have avoided the sushi so that I can leave some space for other food in the buffet line.

The buffet also has a Korean and Italian section with a nice variety of food.

After all the savoury food, the feast ended in a sweet note from the dessert section.
