Saboten @ Changi Airport Terminal 1

New restaurants have been opening up at Changi Airport Terminal 1 with the terminal upgrading at the viewing hall completed. One of the latest tenants is Saboten, a Japanese restaurant.

The restaurant aroused my interests with its various sauces and storage containers. The sweet sauce for the katsu dip was stored in a traditional pottery with a traditional Japanese ladle. The grinder for the sesame seeds came in the form of a wooden stick.

I called this the twin tower. They are the sauces for the cabbage.

The Loin Katsu was nice but not the best. A bit disappointed that the loin had a layer of fats which was slightly thick to my likings.

White Dog Cafe @ VivoCity

This is a restaurant with a nice view of the strait between main land Singapore and Sentosa. If you are lucky, you may also catch some fireworks from the crane dance show over at RWS.

The Salad with Poached Egg was fresh and nice with the different components coming together. Unfortunately the vegetables were a bit wet which meant they were washed but but dried probably.

The Burger definitely nailed it. The patty was beautifully cooked and topped with an egg. The bun was also lightly toasted to give some texture and crunch.

Burger 4.2/5

The meat was tender and slipped off the bone easily. The sauce unfortunately was a bit disappointing.

Pork Rib 3.8/5

The dessert was classic and good. It disappeared from the plate almost in an instant.

Warm Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream 4.2/5
