Lau Goh Fried Carrot Cake @ Zion Riverside Food Centre

IMG_6605

If you are looking for a plate of Fried Carrot Cake, you may want to check out Lau Goh Fried Carrot Cake at Zion Riverside Food Centre. From what I read on ieatishootipost post, Lau Goh was believed to be one of the earliest pioneers of the White Carrot Cake.

Food ordering at the stall involves pointing at the menu and some simple hand signs as Peter Goh, the current stall owner and third son of the late Lau Goh is hearing impaired.

The Black Fried Carrot Cake ($4) here is diced to a much smaller pieces which is actually easier to eat with a spoon than chopstickes. The rice cake was soft and mushy with a good consistency coating of the sweet sauce and egg. If you prefer the white carrot cake, the stall sells it too. For those people that can't decide which version is there perference, they have the half-half version too. You can order a plate of half black and white carrot cake.
