Xin Wang Kovan has just reopened on 14 April after renovation. The Kovan outlet is usually quite crowded. It is opened up to 2am on Monday to Thursday, 4am on Friday to Saturday and 3am on Sunday. Nice place for group hang out and supper.

Ishi Mura Japanese Foodstreet is a foodcourt concept located at the fifth level of City Square Mall. It has a Japanese wooden interior with 9 stalls to choose from dishes such as Donburi, Pasta, Pizza, Sushi, Omelette Rice, Okonomiyaki and Ramen. All at an affordable price from 5 to 8 dollars.

Seng Kee Black Herbal Chicken Soup @ Changi Road

Seng Kee Black Herbal Chicken Soup restaurant is located opposite Kembangan MRT station, along Changi Road. Alight at Kembangan MRT, crossed the road and walk along the park connector beside a canal. At the end of the canal, you will see a row of shop houses on your right. Seng Kee is located along the row of shop houses.

Don't be mislead by the name of the restaurant, thinking it served only black herbal chicken soup. Seng Kee is exactly well known for its crab bee hoon and kidney mee sua. The crab bee hoon is served wrapped in opeh leaf.

The kidney mee sua was nice too. The herbal soup was not overpowering and was delicately flavoured with the taste of herbs.

Kopi Food Court @ Changi Airport T3

Kopi food court is just one of the Kopitiam group food court that was given a more trendy name. A new stall selling pig organ soup, kwap chap and bak kut teh has opened at the food court. I tried the pig organ soup. The serving was a bit small but the pig organ soup turned out quite nice. I especially like the soup. It was not too salty having the right balance.

Sapporo Ramen Bishamon @ Bugis Junction

I read quite a few reviews that the service at this place sucks. The staffs probably had bucked up after all the bad reviews at this branch. My friends and I have lunch on a busy Sat afternoon and service was good and prompt. Beside service, the miso ramen was pretty good. The soup was tasty and not too salty. I enjoyed my lunch here.

Fish & Co @ Changi Airport T2

Changi Airport is having Do Lunch at Changi Airport promo whereby participating restaurants offers $10 set lunch menu. My colleagues and I decided to do lunch at Fish & Co since it had been quite a while since we have our lunch there.

My favourite is New York Fish from Fish & Co but it was not offered in the set menu. Only one standard fish and chips lunch set that came with a free drink plus a selection of either chips or rice. Food portion was not reduced although it was a lunch set. Fish is fresh and melts in your mouth. Overall a value for money lunch for $10 and free 1st hour parking at the airport.

Pasta de Waraku @ Changi Airport T2

Farewell lunch at Pasta de Waraku for a lovely colleague. Great variety of choices which took quite a while to decide what to order. In the end I ordered Uni Cream pasta. It is basically carbonara pasta with sea urchin.

The restaurant is tucked away at the back alley behind Sakae Sushi on the 2nd floor of Novena Square 2. It has an open concept kitchen where you can see the chefs firing the wok cooking your lunch/dinner. Price was a bit expensive but the food was really good.

I ordered the Signature Dishes dinner set meal for two which came with a complimentary dessert.
