Bangkok Jam @ Plaza Singapura

IMG_9360ed

With the opening of Plaza Singapura shopping mall's new wing, the management also brough in more food establishments. It seems like it is a requisite to draw the crowd to the mall. Well saying that, there is really not many things interesting to do in Singapore except shop, eat and movie so why not just house them under one roof. It was exactly the reason why I was at Plaza Singapura. To shop, catch a movie and have dinner.

Glass Noodle Seafood Salad 3/5

After checking out all the new food establishments at Plaza Singapura's new wing, we decided to try Bangkok Jam which is the less crowded since we have a movie to catch. We ordered a Glass Noodle Seafood Salad ($10) to kick start the meal. It did come with fresh huge prawns but we felt that it was lacking the spicy kick.

For the main, my partner ordered the Tom Yum Seafood Noodle ($11.90). The noodle was quite springy but not memorable.

Minced Chicken and Basil 3/5

For myself I had the Minced Chicken and Basil ($11.90) which came with a fried egg and rice. I like the diced long beans that was added to the minced chicken, giving a nice crunch to the dish. The minched chicken and basil was rather average, it lacked that strong distinct Thai flavours that will get my taste buds dancing.

Bangkok Jam did not manage to impress me with their Thai cuisine. I have tried tastier and cheaper options such as Soi Thai Kitchen and Jai Thai Restaurant.
