The Line Shop @ Shangri La Hotel

Most people may have heard of The Line restaurant at Shangri La Hotel. Not many may have heard of The Line Shop at the lower lobby of Shangri La Hotel that bakes fresh cakes and pastries daily. I only got to know of this place when I was specifically asked to purchase a birthday cake from here after 6pm and not to be late. The cakes and pastries are 50% off after 6pm and it get sold off very fast.

When I reached the place at 630pm, all the birthday cakes were sold out. I have to settle for the few miniature cakes and pastries that were left. I have to admit they are very good and nice. No wonder my friend wanted me to go all the way to purchase it.

Once Upon A Milkshake @ Maxwell Chambers

Once Upon A Milkshake aka OUAM provides patrons with premium ice cream milkshakes. Their milkshakes are produced by blending OUAM premium range of home-made ice cream with quality low fat milk.

Once inside the restaurant, you will feel like stepping into a children play house with miniature chairs and tables in a purple colour theme fairyland.

OUAM offers 10 different ice cream flavours for your milkshake. Accordingly to the waitress, the popular flavours are agent strawberry and chocolate truffle castle

Usually in a milkshake you will find that it is very sweet maybe due to the amount of sugar syrup in it and the difficulty in sucking up the milkshake with your straw. At OUAM a sip and I can taste the different in texture and sweetness. The texture was smooth and sweetness was just nice. We ordered the chocolate truffle castle and nutty peanut butler milkshakes.

To get here, alight at Tanjong Pagar MRT station and proceed to exit B. Maxwell Chambers where OUAM is located is just across the road.
