Leong Kee (Klang) Bak Kut Teh @ Beach Road

There are basically two types of bak kut teh in Singapore. One is the clear soup which is more peppery while the other is the dark soup which is more herbal. Klang bak kut teh belongs to the latter and originated from a town known as Klang in the state of Selangor, Malaysia.

The Klang bak kut teh here is served in claypot and they are quite generous with the portion. I have like 5-6 pieces of tender meat that came off the bone easily in my claypot. You can also order a mix of pork ribs and pig offals. The braised pig trotter was very tender and good too.

Astons Specialties @ Changi Airport Terminal 1

Astons seems to be at every corner of the neighbourhood. It has just opened its latest branch at Changi Airport Terminal 1. Good for me as I have another lunch option. Besides the good food standard across the board, I would like to compliment Astons for their sides too. This shows the little details a restaurant put in to serve its customer an enjoyable meal.
