For the last few days I have been seeing people talking about Yuet Loy on social media and that reminded me that I still have not blog about my visit to Yuet Loy (悦来) at Chinatown Complex Market. My partner brought me to the popular stall because her mum frequent this zichar stall and always brought home delectable food. The stall is located right at the far end of the hawker centre near the corner close to the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. It was my first time visiting the stall so I was also not very sure what to order. I decided to go for the easy way out and ordered 2 dishes that is recommended on their stall's signage. The zichar stall is really popular and we needed to wait for a good 40 minutes for our food.

Salted Fish Chicken 4/5

The Salted Fish Chicken ($11) was tender and moist. The saltiness of the salted fish worked perfectly with the chicken enhancing the flavours further. A perfect savoury dish to go with a bowl of rice. I was hoping that I can have more of the salted fish like a thick gravy.

Black Bean Sauce Fish Head 3/5

While the Black Bean Sauce Fish Head ($11) was cooked in a delectable black bean sauce, the used of Song Fish (Asian Carp) maybe consider acquire to some because of the muddy taste. I am acceptable to the muddy taste but not a big fan of it.

The humble zichar stall serves some delish homecook style food and I look forward to my next visit. I would like to return to try their Beef Sliced Hor Fun and Golden Coin Tofu which seems to be their signature dishes.
