KAI Sushi & Grill @ Plaza Singapura

This little eatery located at the basement of Plaza Singapura reminds me of those Sushi bar in Japanese. The chefs work behind the bar counter where there is a display of fresh and live seafood.

The Sashimi was very fresh and cut into chunk instead of slices. I find that the texture was more enjoyable with the cut.

The Miso soup was packed with a lot of ingredients which was really value for money.

The wonderful thing about sitting at the bar counter is the view of the chefs preparing your food. The Teriyaki Salmon and Cod were nicely cooked and simply Oishii.

Saboten @ Changi Airport Terminal 1

New restaurants have been opening up at Changi Airport Terminal 1 with the terminal upgrading at the viewing hall completed. One of the latest tenants is Saboten, a Japanese restaurant.

The restaurant aroused my interests with its various sauces and storage containers. The sweet sauce for the katsu dip was stored in a traditional pottery with a traditional Japanese ladle. The grinder for the sesame seeds came in the form of a wooden stick.

I called this the twin tower. They are the sauces for the cabbage.

The Loin Katsu was nice but not the best. A bit disappointed that the loin had a layer of fats which was slightly thick to my likings.
