The flagship District 10 outlet at UE Square unveils a new look and new offerings. Comes with both an indoor and outdoor area, the new gastrobar concept offers something for everyone. The indoor dining room space showcases a more elegant cuisine with more than 80 different wine selections. Fans of Bonta and Chef Luca will be able to find some of his signature items on the menu while the group seek a new location for Bonta. For a more casual ambience, the al fresco outdoor area offers the option of bar bites and lots of great cocktails.

Eggs Benedict 4/5

I was here at the newly refurnished District 10 flagship outlet on a Saturday afternoon to try their the Brunch menu. The great afternoon begun with the classic Eggs Benedict ($16). Perfect poached eggs with oozing egg yolks, sauteed spinach and smoked salmon on toasted muffin finished with a hollandaise sauce. A beaming plate of sunshine to kick start the day.

Pandan Coconut Pancake with Gula Melaka Syrup 3/5

The Pandan Coconut Pancake with Gula Melaka Syrup ($9) caught my attention with its interesting Asian influence. Unlike the usual pancake, I found the texture a bit similar to our Asian steamed cake. While the flavours were spot on with the fragrant pandan and coconut, the texture may be a bit unique and foreign to some.

Hoegarden Battered Fish and Chips 4/5

The Hoegarden Battered Fish and Chips ($22) comes with mint mushy peas and tatare sauce. Deep fried to a beautiful golden brown, the lightly battered fish was crispy on the outside and moist inside.

District 10 Brunch Beef Burger 3.5/5

The Brunch Beef Burger ($20) comes with a charcoal grilled black angus patty topped with fried egg, crispy bacon and cheddar on a sesame bun served with natural cut fries at the side. While the patty was juicy, I felt that burger was lacking a sauce or a strong flavour to carry it up a notch to be excellent.

Pizza with Wagyu Beef Cheek Redang 4/5

I am starting to like the playful touches of Asian influence in the food at District 10. Another item on the menu that showcases this is the Pizza with Wagyu Beef Cheek Redang ($29). The wagyu beef cheek redang was very tender and lovely infused with the spices. It really surprised me that District 10 can prepare such a delicious pieces of beef cheek redang and incorporated it into the classic Italian pizza.

Pizza with Portobello Mushrooms 4.2/5

It can't really goes wrong when you have portobello mushrooms, tomato sauce and finished it with the aromatic truffle oil. The Pizza with Portobello Mushrooms ($26) is a must try at District 10. Nothing fancy but straight delish flavours on top of the thin crust pizza that will leave one satisfied.

Overall I have enjoyed my brunch at District 10 Bar & Restaurant. Having heard good words about Chef Luca and Bonta, I am very keen to be back soon to try their gourmet menu that features some of Bonta's all time favourite. Stay tune for more up updates.
